Aster Family Support is seeking a dedicated Family Support worker with
a strong background in community development to join our team in Aster
Family Resource Centre, Balbriggan. This person will work closely with
families facing various challenges, and provide them with essential
support services both in their family home and in their community.
CONTRACTS & HOURS: Full time ( *.5 hours).
Evening and weekend work will be a feature of this position and
flexibility is vital with evening and some weekend work required for
this position for which Time in Lieu will be given
OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
As a Family Support Community Development Worker, you will play a
pivotal role in creating a supportive and nurturing environment for
families facing various challenges. You will provide family support to
children, individuals and families and network with service providers
and other agencies and be actively involved in relevant interagency
work. This will involve working closely with our team members to
support the families we work with to build confidence and capacity
through the delivery of supports in family homes and the community,
and by the development and delivery of programmes and activities as
needs arise.
FULL CLEAN DRIVING LICENCE AND ACCESS TO OWN CAR WITH APPROPRIATE
INSURANCE IS A REQUIREMENT FOR THIS POSITION.
THIS POSITION IS SUBJECT TO GARDA VETTING AND SATISFACTORY REFERENCE
CHECKS.

Aster Family Support provide on-going training for all staff. Mileage
is paid for travel associated with your work. Paid maternity/paternity
